The inaugural Tohoku Coffee Stand Festival in it's revamped format started in 2016. Held along Sendai city's stunning Jozenji-Dori - a strip where the festival can exist with plenty of room, right amongst a busy city access road running either side.
I was fortunate to be guided by my good friend Ayumi Nakazawa - who was also volunteering at the event. Jozenji-Dori is a truly unique location, and lucky for me the weather and conditions put on a beautiful show of light and warmth for me to capture.
